San Juan County has been recognized as a Platinum Level Family Friendly Business in 2024!
This award is presented by Family Friendly New Mexico, (FFNM). FFNM is a non-profit project of the Center of Southwest Culture and was formed by a task force on work-life balance to recognize and celebrate New Mexico employers that offer family-friendly policies and employee benefits; and also, to increase the number of businesses with family-centered policies.
San Juan County is a Platinum level recipient that meets at least two family-friendly policies in each of the four categories plus one policy in each of the three platinum-level categories.

FFNM initiative also provides support to businesses to become family-friendly by offering training and resources. FFNM is recognized by Society for Human Resources Management to offer professional development credits. There are currently 172 New Mexico businesses recognized and awarded by FFNM.
