Salary, Benefits & Incentives
Base Salary:
- Entry level: $27.49/hour ($57,180/year)
- Lateral deputy: $27.49 – $33.21/hour DOQ ($57,180 - $69,077/year)
- Multiple overtime opportunities available to all positions
Time-Off Benefits:
- 11 paid holidays per year
- Sick leave (accrued at approximately 95 hours/year)
- Vacation leave – 2 weeks/year (up to 5 years of service), 3 weeks/year (5 – 10 years of service), 4 weeks/year (10+ years of service)
- Laterals may be qualified for higher accrual rates
- Personal day – 8 hours per year
- Bereavement leave – up to 40 hours
- Comp time – maximum of 80 hours
Incentives:
- College degree incentives:
- Associates Degree – $1,800.00 per year
- Bachelor’s Degree – $2,400.00 per year
- Master’s Degree – $3,000.00 per year

- Take home vehicles within a 40 mile radius of main office
- 4-day work week (work four 10-hour days and have three days off)

- $200.00 yearly boot allowance

Retirement:
- Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA)/Municipal Police Plan 5
