NOTICE OF PUBLIC INPUT SESSION
REDISTRICTING OF COUNTY COMMISISON DISTRICTS
SAN JUAN COUNTY
Notice is hereby given that San Juan County will hold an open session for the purpose of receiving public input on the proposed County Commission redistricting plans.
According to the 2020 Census data, the County Commission member districts are not of sufficiently equal population and must be redrawn to comply with the “one-person, one-vote” principle established by the U.S. Constitution and are considering new boundaries for its Commission member districts.
San Juan County encourages its citizens to participate in the redistricting process and to make their views know at this public meeting. Citizens unable to attend this meeting may submit their written comments to Mike Stark, County Manager, 100 S. Oliver, Aztec, New Mexico 87410.
The Public Session will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021 in the Commission Chambers of the San Juan County Administrative Building, 100 S. Oliver, Aztec, New Mexico.
Copies of the proposed plans will be available at the Public Session and are available for public inspection during normal business hours at the San Juan County Administration Building, 100 S. Oliver, Aztec, NM. Copies of the proposed plans are also available on San Juan County’s website at http://www.sjcounty.net/redistrict
